Current Campaign: Love Our Lab (2025–2027)
The Yukon Hospital Foundation is launching a two-year campaign, Love Our Lab, to raise $500,000 to modernize Whitehorse General Hospital’s laboratory—helping deliver faster test results closer to home for every Yukoner.
Investing in the lab will:
- Shorten wait times for results
- Reduce tests sent out of the territory
- Support recruitment and retention of clinical staff
- Strengthen care across the hospital—from emergency to cancer care, maternity, and primary care

Past Campaigns
Building Better Together (2021–2024)
The Foundation directed fundraising from 2021 to 2024 toward Building Better Together, successfully raising $2 million to create a new 12-bed, in-patient mental wellness unit at Whitehorse General Hospital. The new unit provides safe, comfortable, culturally appropriate spaces where patients can meet with visitors, share meals, and spend time outside their rooms. The Fireweed Mental Wellness Unit opened in 2025.
Extraordinary Together: A Campaign for Our Littlest Yukoners
This campaign supported the creation of a new space in the Maternity Ward where sick infants can receive life-saving care next to their mothers, equipped with the technology to stabilize and support babies while allowing moms to receive care at their side.
