The NORTHWESTEL Festival of Trees combines fun, wonder and the spirit of giving, centred around a magical showcase of individually decorated and community sponsored Christmas trees for auction.

The festival includes a Christmas party for seniors who enjoy dancing amid the glittering trees. The Soiree attendees are in their late 50s and up and enjoy reserving a table for friends. Transport is provided and delicious appetizers are served.

Bah Humbug cocktail party and Business After Hours is held at the Government Administration Building, our Main Street Christmas tree venue. Trees are available for silent auction throughout the festival. Our Humbug combines business social atmosphere with a traditional cocktail party.


Alkan Air Grand Ball is the Yukon’s most prestigious annual black-tie event, which takes place at the Yukon Convention Centre and features the season’s finest trimmings. The evening is unequalled in elegant detail, creating an unforgettably magical experience. Upon arrival, our guests enjoy a champagne reception while viewing the trees and bidding on the live auction.

A sumptuous gourmet dinner is served and then the dancing begins.
