Donation
Bequest
Bequests are gifts made through your will and are the most common planned gift. Planned today, a bequest is paid to the Yukon Hospital Foundation from your estate assets following your death. Your estate will receive a charitable tax receipt for this gift. The Foundation would be pleased to offer confidential assistance and provide you and your lawyer with sample will clauses.

Sample Specific Bequests:
- To pay the sum of _______ dollars to the Yukon Hospital Foundation, for its own use absolutely.
- To pay the sum of _______ dollars to the Yukon Hospital Foundation, to be used for (specific purpose) provided however, that if circumstances make the specific use of this bequest impractical or undesirable, the Board of the Yukon Hospital Foundation is authorized to apply this bequest to other purposes, such purposes, however, to conform as much as possible to the spirit and intent of this bequest.
- To pay a sum equivalent to ____ percent of the fair market value of all Registered Retirement Income Funds (RRIF) and/or Registered Retirement Savings Funds (RRSP) owned by me at the time of my death to the Yukon Hospital Foundation, to be administered as an endowment in perpetuity, (the "Endowment") the income from which shall be used to fund (specific purpose) in accordance with the terms and conditions which Yukon Hospital Foundation and I have agreed upon during my lifetime.
Sample Residual Bequests:
- To pay and transfer the residue of my estate to the Yukon Hospital Foundation, to be used for its own use absolutely.
- To pay and transfer the rest and residue of my estate to the Yukon Hospital Foundation, to be used for (specific purpose) provided however, that if circumstances make the specific use of this bequest impractical or undesirable, the Board of the Yukon Hospital Foundation is authorized to apply this bequest to other purposes, such purposes, however, to conform as much as possible to the spirit and intent of this bequest.
